Ski School
A great resort in which to perfect skills, Jackson Hole has a highly regarded Ski & Snowboard School which offers a choice of lessons and courses, even for beginners. Choose from private lessons to group clinics, or hire a knowledgeable guide to really explore the mountains.
Children
The resorts' Kids Ranch offers tuition for children aged 3 and up in programmes such as the Pioneers (beginners aged 3-4), Rough Riders (aged 3-6), Little Rippers (snowboarders aged 5-6) and Explorers (aged 7-14). Teens can join Team Explorers (ages 12-17) or spend a week in the Holiday Camp. Non-skiing day care is available for ages 6-months to 2, along with private babysitting services.
Dining
Jackson Hole is home to 70 restaurants, offering visitors a wide selection of food to suit all tastes and budgets. Choose from great value pizzerias, bistros, cafes and saloons, rustic Western lodges and cowboy cookouts, as well as gourmet and expensive upscale eateries.
Après-ski
Befitting the towns' casual laid-back atmosphere, the après-ski is friendly and relaxed, with a selection of bars, saloons, breweries and grills showing plenty of Western character. A number of mountain bars and restaurants offer casual menus with sunny outside decks.
Shopping
Jackson offers plenty of great shopping, with a range of skiwear and sports shops, clothing, leather, jewellery and art, as well as a huge selection of unique Western goods and souvenirs, such as American-Indian crafts and cowboy hats.
Town facilities
An established town filled with plenty of stores and services, such as 8 supermarkets and grocers, 4 speciality food shops and essentials such as banks and launderettes, Jackson also has a hospital with an emergency department, and a range of doctors listed in town.
