Indoor Skiing - An authentic ski experience
With a climate that severely limits the opportunity to ski in natural conditions, the UK does nevertheless offer choices for snowsport enthusiasts to practice year round. Traditional dry ski slopes are found throughout the country and can be enjoyed in all weathers. Made of synthetic fibre it cannot replicate the sensation of  real snow but is a convenient way to learn the basics. Alternatively, indoor skiing has become very popular in recent years with self contained enclosed 'snow domes' offering challenging runs using artificial snow in a temperature controlled environment similar to natural alpine conditions.

Indoor skiing centres offer a wide range of tuition from qualified instuctors in skiing and snowboarding with courses to suit all levels. Especially popular with school groups, a visit to an indoor snow dome is an essential part of preparation for an organised skiing trip. Individual and small group lessons are available all year long and is a fun and rewarding way to practise and build confidence before a first skiing holiday. Multi level ski runs are designed to mimic natural conditions and are challenging yet spacious enough for beginners to practise in complete safety.

While skiing and snowboarding are the main activities, other snowsports can be enjoyed such as tobogganing and tubing. With other entertainment on offer such as bowling, ice skating and dining it is a rewarding day out for all the family.
