The Hotel Lion offers an excellent choice for a winter ski holiday in Bansko, ideal for those looking to be close to all the amenities of the resort. Comfortable and well-equipped, the hotel provides an affordable base, with a host of convenient services and facilities for guests.

 

The hotel is located a 5-minute walk (600m) from both the resort centre and the gondola, with a free ski bus also transporting skiers to and from the lift.

 

More modern in style, the Hotel Lion offers a streamlined Alpine building, with a fairly contemporary black and white exterior design. The hotel offers some elegant public rooms, with cosy features such as welcoming open fireplaces, as well as simply-decorated but spacious bedrooms.

 

There are 200 rooms at the hotel, from singles and doubles, to studios and apartments, positioned throughout 6 floors, and served by a lift. The 167 double rooms each have either a king size or a twin bed, private bathroom, satellite TV, radio, telephone, hairdryer and minibar, whilst 16 larger family rooms also feature a small kitchenette and a dining area. Apartments have 2 separate rooms, and can accommodate up to 4 guests.

 

Under-2's stay free, whilst under-12's on a regular bed receive a 20% discount, and those sleeping on an extra bed pay 50%. Check-in time is 1:00pm and check-out is 12:00pm.

 

The hotel has a restaurant, bar/pub, restaurant, disco, shops, ski room, free Wi-Fi, business centre, conference room, laundry service, room service and outdoor parking. Spa facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, solarium and gym (some additional charges apply).

 

Meals are buffet-style, with a hot and cold breakfast, and plenty of choice of both international fare and Bulgarian cuisine for dinner in the evening. Packed lunches are available for a supplement. Christmas and New Year holidays feature a Gala Dinner, included in the package price.
