Many of the larger hotels in Hinterglemm have spas, offering relaxing massages and a host of other beauty treatments. The traffic-free town of Hinterglemm is smaller and quieter than Saalbach, and the two villages, just 4km apart, have almost combined into one. Both are attractive with plenty of Alpine charm and great views, especially from the top of the lifts. Saalbach is also home to a ski museum and an art gallery, and day trips to Salzburg are recommended.
Après-Ski
A favourite with Scandinavians as well as Brits, the nightlife in the region is legendary, with plenty of dancing in the local pubs and ice bars when the lifts close, continuing long into the night.
Dining
Mainly rustic dining in this authentic Alpine region, with the many restaurants, cafes and inns serving up traditional food such as sausages, dumplings, spatzle and schnitzels.
