Hinterglemm Resort Facilities

Ski Schools
There are 9 ski schools in the Ski Circus region, which together employ over 200 instructors, many of whom offer tuition in English. Lessons range from basic skiing and snowboarding lessons, in the form of group or private lessons, as well as specific skills such as carving and off-piste skiing.

Childcare
Childcare is provided by many of the hotels in the resorts, with babies as young as 12 months being taken care of, and babysitting is available in the resort. The ski kindergarten in Hinterglemm, available for children aged 3-4, is home to a Mini Clown World play area, with slides and swings, and ski lessons are offered for ages 4 and up.

Shopping
The small town of Hinterglemm has some good local shops, which tend to be cheaper and more basic than in neighbouring Saalbach, home to a pedestrian high street lined with boutiques and high-end skiwear shops. Goods on offer are mainly local crafts and souvenirs.

Dining
Plenty of choice in the area, with 68 restaurants, inns and cafes, including 40 up on the mountain which serve a selection of hearty Austrian fare and international cuisine.
Après-Ski
The après-ski scene is active and buzzing, with 35 bars in the resorts, including local taverns, beer halls, winestubes and hotel bars. Hinterglemm is quieter and less hectic than Saalbach, which has a cosmopolitan lively atmosphere, and even a casino.

Town Facilities
As well as the restaurants and bars, Hinterglemm offers facilities such as 3 banks, various supermarkets, a post office, car rental and internet cafes.

Medical Facilities
There are 2 doctors and 1 chemist in the resort, and the nearest hospital is in Zell am See, approximately 20 km away.
