The resorts' activity centre is home to a 4-lane bowling alley and offers plenty of entertainment, with arcades and big screen TV's showing sports. Enjoy a trip on the Fiam Railway to Sognefjord, the worlds' longest and deepest fjord, passing through some of the regions' most spectacular scenery. Visit Huso Fairytale Land, with its Viking house and displays of regional costumes and crafts. Also available are overnight trips staying in a lavvo - a traditional wigwam-style tent. Hemsedal arranges many different organised activities and family events, such as tobogganing evenings, ski shows and races.
Après Ski
There is a vibrant après ski scene during the weekends (the resort is a favourite weekend resort for Norwegians). Choices range from cosy local pubs to cocktail bars, with food and drink prices generally quite high.
Dining
The resort offers a selection of restaurants including pizzerias, bistros, cafes and steakhouses. Sample some Norwegian cuisine with dishes featuring local fare such as salmon, trout, venison, elk and reindeer.
