Skiing takes place over two ski centres, Hemsedal and Solheisen, and includes terrain for all levels of skier, with plenty of wide family friendly slopes for beginners and fast cruisers for intermediates, as well as the testing steeps and sheer drops. Off-piste is excellent and Hemsedal offers ideal conditions for extreme skiing. A system of 130 snow cannons cover a quarter of the slopes, and augments the natural snow ensuring great conditions throughout the season. The resort offers a snow guarantee from the middle of November to the beginning of May, giving a refund to skiers if less than a certain amount of terrain is open (conditions apply).
