Plenty of spas and hotels in the area offer relaxing treatments, massages and beauty services, and there are natural hot springs nearby to visit. A small shopping area can be found in the European-style village, with plenty more in the area and factory outlets located just south of the town. The gondola offers non-skiers spectacular views from the top, and scenic paddle steamer rides on the lake are also available.

There's an endless array of bars and pubs in which to relax, from old-time Western saloons to chic cocktail bars and lounges, and an excellent choice of bars at the base of the gondola. Entertainment ranges from live music, pool tables and big screen TV's, to clubbing, piano bars and gambling or taking in a show at the local Nevada casinos. Over a hundred restaurants offer something for everyone, from casual bakeries, delis and coffee shops, to pizzerias, grills and breweries.
