Heavenly Resort Facilities

Ski School 

The ski school centres are located at three base lodges in Heavenly, and offer private tuition, group lessons and specialist clinics, from over 200 certified instructors. Skiing lessons are offered for children aged 4-13, with boarding lessons for over 7's. Kid’s schools are found at the base of the gondola, with adults at the top.

 

Childcare 

Day-care is provided at the California base for babies as young as 6 weeks, and up to 6 years. Ages 3-4 may participate in the combined Ski/Play Programme, introducing them to skiing with a one-hour lesson during their day of playtime, with 4-5's offered 2-hours on the slopes. Also offered is the Nanny for a Day service, with individual care.

 

With 75 shops in the area, Heavenly Village is home to 40 of them, selling a range of goods including skiwear and equipment, furniture, clothing, jewellery, luggage and gifts. Prices in the village can be expensive, but the factory outlets nearby offer plenty of bargains.

 

Après Ski 

Excellent selection of après ski venues in the 108 bars and clubs in the area. The resort is home to local taverns and cosy bars, as well as sophisticated jazz clubs and piano bars, and a vibrant 24-hour scene in the Nevada casinos.

 

Dining 

The south shore boasts 165 restaurants, including 10 up on the mountain, with options to suit all tastes and budgets. Choices range from breakfast cafes and casual delis to upscale gourmet restaurants, steakhouses and sushi bars.

 

Town Services 

Facilities include 12 banks, 3 supermarkets, 20 supermarkets, 10 liquor stores, petrol stations, 2 libraries and 5 museums and art galleries.

 

Medical Facilities 

Heavenly is served by 3 medical clinics and a nearby hospital, and the area has 10 chemists.
