There are saunas and Jacuzzis available, and various hotels in the village offer plenty of relaxing spa treatments. A cinema and bowling alley provide entertainment away from the slopes, and ice-skating and sleigh rides are always popular family activities. Innsbruck is just 15 minutes away and makes for an interesting trip, either by car or scenic train ride, as does a daytrip into Italy. The surrounding area is full of history, with chapels, churches and museums to visit.

 

Smaller than neighbouring Neustift, Fulpmes offers a traditional apres ski scene with a good choice of venues, including some authentic inns and taverns. Innsbruck is close enough for a more varied night out. The restaurants in Fulpmes generally offer local Austrian cuisine, and the standard of on-mountain dining is high. Try the rustic region dishes such as knodel (dumplings), grosti (potatoes), schnitzels and strudels, as well as Austrian beers, wines and liqueurs.
