Skiing in Fulpmes
Fulpmes is a pretty ski resort situated at 1000m in the Stubai Valley in Austria, it has its’ own ski area – Schlick 2000 but it is also part of the Stubai Superski area. This includes 130kms of piste and the Stubai glacier, ensuring guaranteed snow and something for skiers of all abilities. With a short transfer time from Innsbruck and good child care facilities Fulpmes is a great ski resort for families.
Skiing holidays in Fulpmes
There is a great ski school in Fulpmes for beginners and good nursery slopes. There is 18kms of skiing locally and a total of 130kms in the Stubai Superski area, this offers excellent choice for intermediate skiers, breathtaking scenery, blues and reds running through the forest and wide open bowls up on the glacier. The Stubai glacier will also challenge advanced skiers, especially the Wilden Grub’n – 10km of off piste skiing with a 1500m drop. There is a fun park and half pipe for snowboarders and great terrain on the glacier. There is also 70kms of cross country skiing trails in the Stubai valley.
Apres ski in Fulpmes
There are over 35 restaurants in Fulpmes serving good value local and international dishes, the apres ski in Fulpmes is quite relaxed with some lively bars and a couple of nightclubs. There is a sports centre with swimming pool in Fulpmes, an ice skating rink, sleigh rides, tobogganing, walking trails and day trips to Innsbruck and Italy.
