The beautiful Alpine village of Finkenberg is located within the Zillertal nature park, and enjoys a long history as a popular skiing destination. Ski holidays in Finkenberg offer an opportunity to relax in a quiet, family-orientated environment whole enjoying some 143 km of well-maintained piste.  Beginners and intermediates will be in their element while skiing in Finkenberg, although challenges for seriously experienced skiers are rather thin on the ground.

The village is located 200m above the River Ziller, and skiers in Finkenberg will appreciate the fact that the village is located in the centre of the Ski and Glacierworld Zillertal 3000 ski area which runs from neighbouring Mayrhofen over to the year-round snowfields of the Hintertux glacier. Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000 is the largest single ski region within Austria's beautiful Ziller Valley.

Skiers in Finkenberg can also buy half-day and one-and-a-half day tickets. Tickets of two or three days are valid on the Ski Zillertal 3000 Circuit largely linking Mayrhofen, Finkenberg, parts of the Tux Valley and Hippach (www.gletscherwelt.at). Tickets of four days or more are valid on the full Zillertal Superski area, but remember that photographic identification is necessary for the purchase of free and discounted passes.
