Do my children need to have a passport?

Q: Do my children need to have a passport?
A: Since 5 October 1998 children under 16 have to hold their own passport. Children already included on a parent's passport are not affected by this change, so they can continue to travel on these passports until they reach the age of 16, or when the passport expires.
