European Ski Seasons
European Ski Seasons - Excellent winter skiing conditions
Early December heralds the start of the European ski season and skiers will be out in force in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. Although it depends on the snowfall, most of the resorts will be bustling from December to early March and these are the busiest months of the year. You can ski in some resorts such as Tignes in France from as early as September, and the skiing is usually excellent from October onwards in the Austrian resorts. While the European ski season ends around early March there is still excellent all year round skiing to be had in the glacier areas of Sweden, Austria, and Switzerland where the snow remains on the glaciers and the resorts are open year round.
