Relaxed, laid-back Ellmau offers plenty in the way of off-piste activity – from late-night partying to sophisticated dining. Holidaymakers skiing in Ellmau will find plenty to keep them occupied in the village itself, while the wider SkiWelt area offers plenty more in the way of leisure, shopping and nightlife options.

Active pursuits
Skiers in Ellmau have the opportunity to take part in a number of winter sports activities. Sleigh rides, a toboggan run, ice-skating, swimming, bowling and billiards are among the facilities available within the pretty Alpine resort, and local guides are always on hand to introduce skiers in Ellmau to some challenging off-piste opportunties. A focal point for active pursuits in Ellmau is the Kaiserbad swimming and leisure complex, which boasts indoor and outdoor heated pools, and 92-metre water slide. The complex also features a children's pool, waterfall, water jets, and a water cannon. A gym, indoor tennis courts and billiards are also available at the resort.

Relaxation
Those who like to take it easy after a day on the slopes will find their every need catered for at the KaiserBad complex. A sauna, hot tubs, relaxation centre and solarium are all available at the centre, and all are very popular with skiers in Ellmau who are looking for a little pampering after a hard day’s skiing.

Shopping
Shopaholics on a ski holiday in Ellmau will be in their element. The town boasts a wealth of good stores – from chic fashion boutiques to butchers and bakers. The resort is better equipped, in terms of shops, than many neighbouring resorts, so there’s no reason to return empty-handed from a ski holiday in Ellmau!

Dining
With more than 30 restaurants to choose from, dining in Ellmau is a gourmand’s delight. Much of the food on offer is typical (and very delicious!) Tyrolean cuisine, and fondue parties are frequently organised. Most of the formal dining is to be found within Ellmau’s restaurants, and hungry skiers in Ellmau can also pick up a quick sandwich, pizza or burger at one of the many slope-side snack bars.

Après-Ski
Après-ski in Ellmau is always a lively affair, and pubs and bars get busy as soon as the lifts close. There are 10 bars within the resort itself, all of which are already busy by late afternoon. A handful of nightclubs caters for those who want to party into the early hours, with live music and/or karaoke frequently on the late-night menu.
