The picturesque, family-orientated resort of Ellmau forms part of Ski Welt Area – Austria´s largest inter-connected ski resort. Skiers in Ellmau will find extensive and interesting terrain across a total of 250 km. Despite its relatively low altitude, the resort has a good snow record, and Emmlau´s extensive snow-making facilities mean that good ski conditions are virtually guaranteed. Beginners and early intermediates on a ski holiday in Ellmau are spoilt for choice, as the resort is characterised by gentle tree-lined runs. Those looking for more advanced terrain will find more challenging slopes in the wider Ski Welt area. Conveniently, ski runs in Emmlau lead directly to the village centre, and a free bus transfer is on hand to transport skiers in Emmlau to ski resorts in the Ski Welt ski area.
