Location – The Des Guides occupies a prime position on the ski slopes in the centre of Cervinia. Ski lifts across from the hotel take you up to the main ski school meeting area at Plan Maison. You can ski right down to the back door of the hotel. There are superb views of the mighty Matterhorn. The hotel is very well placed for enjoying the après-ski scene in Cervinia resort centre. You will find bars and economical restaurants close to the hotel.

Hotel Highlights – The Des Guides is notable for the warmth and old-world elegance of its lounge and bar. The entire hotel exudes history. Traditional wood décor and comfy furnishings are found throughout. More like a well-loved gentleman’s club than a modern hotel.

Dining – Most guests are here on a bed and breakfast basis. Generous continental buffet breakfast. Tea and coffee is served between 4 and 5 in the afternoon. Drinks are served in the popular bar in the evenings. The Des Guides Irish coffees are renowned throughout the resort! Guests enjoy a 10% discount at the bar.

Accommodation

Standard rooms: In line with the rest of the hotel. Rooms are warm and cosy, and reminiscent of an early 20th century ship’s cabin. All double and twin rooms at the Des Guides Hotel come with en suite shower and toilet.

Triple rooms: A little more spacious. 3 beds or 1 single bed plus bunk beds.

Single rooms and twin/double rooms with a bath are available to guests paying a supplement charge
