Ski School 

There is a ski school based in the village, which has a good reputation and offers a wide range of lessons.

Childcare And Families 

Hotel-based childcare is offered in Claviere, accepting babies as young as 6 months up to 4 years old, with a separate programme for ages 4-10. 

Shopping 

Shopping is fairly limited in Claviere, but there are plenty of places to indulge nearby, such as Sestriere, with its fashionable boutiques and 130 shops, and Sauze d'Oulx with 30 shops selling lots of souvenirs and speciality foodstuffs.   

 

Most of the towns' 9 restaurants are located in the hotels, and serve Italian food, including hearty regional specialities, pizzas and pastas, as well as more international upscale cuisine. Hop across the border to Montgenevre (a 15-minute trip) for a delicious French lunch or dinner.

 

Après Ski 

The resort offers a choice of 5 bars, again found in the hotels, with the small après ski scene having a lively atmosphere, thanks to the karaoke bar and the disco pub.

Town Services 

Include a bank with a cash point, 2 small supermarkets, a newsagent, post office, and a tourist office.
