Claviere Skiing Holidays
Claviere is a small, charming Italian village very close to the border with France, set at 1760m Claviere is a ski resort with excellent snow conditions. There is plenty of local skiing in Claviere and it is also part of the Milky Way ski area which provides 400kms of ski runs. The local ski pass is very good value including Claviere and Cesana with 2 days of skiing in the rest of the Milky Way ski area.  There is also the possibility of crossing into France to the neighbouring ski resort of Montgenevre (on a different lift pass). Claviere is one of Italy’s’ oldest ski resorts and one of the quietest in the Milky Way offering excellent value for money with a relatively short transfer from Turin.

There is a good ski school in Claviere and the nursery slopes are near the centre of the ski resort, confident beginners can progress to a big blue run that starts above the trees and ends back in the village. There are 50kms of local slopes to explore around Claviere including plenty for intermediate skiers and many runs through the trees, the longest being 6kms. Advanced skiers have access to the 400kms of the Milky Way ski area. There is a snowboard park in the area and 35kms of cross country skiing including trails crossing into France.

There are some good cheap restaurants in Claviere and a couple of slightly more upmarket eateries serving traditional Italian cuisine. There are a few lively bars including karaoke bars in Claviere and it is possible to walk or take a taxi to Montgenevre. Claviere has a natural ice skating rink, skidoo rides, tobogganing, a sports centre, swimming pool, torchlight descents and paragliding in Montgenevre.
