Chatel Resort Facilities
Ski School
Chatel has 5 ski schools, including the national ESF, and offers around one hundred instructors and a range of lessons and clinics. Choose from basic learn-to-ski or snowboard packages, to one-on-one tuition in specialist techniques such as mogul skiing or freestyle skiing.
Childcare
There is a crèche in the resort taking children aged 3 months to 6 years, and ski school is offered for ages 3 and up. There is a range of entertainment options for kids, from nightly shows and festivals, to art workshops.
Shops
The town of Chatel still hosts a weekly outdoor market, and has 4 supermarkets for visitors to use, as well as the usual ski and sports shops, newsagents, souvenir and craft shops, and local patisseries, bakers and butchers.
Dining
The town has 24 restaurants, with a good selection of local creperies and grills that serve Savoyard specialities, as well as a choice of reasonably-priced pizzerias and cafes.
Après-ski
Over 21 bars offer a laid-back après-ski scene in the resort, however this includes a number of popular young ski bars and 2 nightclubs for more lively nights out.
Town Services
There are 4 banks in Chatel (some with cash points), a town hall, post office, Tourist Office, internet cafe and hairdressers.
Medical Facilities
Chatel has a chemist, doctor and dentist, as well as emergency services.
