Snow Conditions in Campitello - Access to the Sella Ronda circuit
Campitello is a traditional village located in the Fassa Valley in Trentino, and offers skiing in the Dolomite mountain range in north-eastern Italy. Together with neighbouring Canazei, the resort is part of the Sella Ronda circuit, and boasts access to the mighty Dolomiti Superski area, with its 1,200km of piste covering 12 valleys.
Campitello Snow Conditions - Reliable slopes, ideal for intermediates
The resort sits at a height of 1,448m, and offers skiing up to a top elevation of 2,484m, meaning generally reliable snow conditions. Beginners have some excellent nursery slopes on which to learn, as well as easy slopes at the top of the mountain. Skiing in Campitello is best suited to more accomplished skiers, as almost two-thirds of the terrain is rated intermediate. From Campitello there is direct access to one of the most famous circuits in Europe, the Sella Ronda - the 26km route with breathtaking scenery, which can be tackled from either direction and takes most of the day to complete. Advanced skiers should head to one of the linked resorts such as Val Gardena, home to some more challenging terrain, and take advantage of the Dolomiti Superski Pass.

The ski season in Campitello runs from December to April. Upper slopes averages for the area reached around 100cm in 2007, rising to 140cm in previous years. Snowmaking in Campitello is extensive, with 95% of the slopes covered by 90 snow cannons.
