The town of Briancon offers a historic and picturesque centre to stroll around.
Guided walking tours around the charming winding streets of Briancons' old town can be arranged by the tourist office. There are two cinemas in town and a theatre.
 
Dining
Briancon is a gastronomical centre, home to some fantastic French restaurants, most with reasonable prices. Try some of the regional specialities such as fondue or raclette, as well as more Italian-influenced pasta and pizza.

Après-ski
The atmosphere in Briancon is colourful, yet traditional and laid-back, with a number of local bars and inns, and a casino at the base of the ski area. For more lively après-ski, head to Chantemerle or Villeneuve.
