Briancon Resort Facilities

Ski School
Tuition is offered at the ESF Briancon, home to over 50 ski instructors speaking 4 languages. Lessons are given in basic skiing and snowboarding and advanced skills such as carving and off-piste techniques, as well as snowshoeing and cross-country.

Child Care
A ski kindergarten is offered for children aged 3 and 4 at the Club Piou-Piou, whilst those aged between 5 and 12 can take group lessons at the ski school. Briancon is considered the most child-friendly town in Serre Chevalier

Après-ski
A working town rather than a ski resort, the town offers a number of local bars, with a distinct French charm, and one nightclub and a casino for late night entertainment. Non-skiers have the option of visiting the sports centre, bowling alley or ice rink.

Dining
The selection of pavement cafes, tearooms, bistros and brassieres found in Briancon cater to all tastes and budgets, with the emphasis on local regional French food. An Italian influence can also be found here, with pizzerias alongside the creperies and cafes.

Town centre
The ancient town has two parts, the upper and lower town. The upper section is home to the old town with its fortified walls, charming cobbled streets and quaint shops selling crafts and souvenirs. The modern section offers more amenities, with banks, supermarkets, a theatre and a cinema. The main library in Serre Chevalier is located in Briancon, as well as two cinemas and a theatre.

Medical facilities
Briancon is home to the ski areas' hospital, and there are 6 doctors and 3 chemists located throughout the region of Serre Chevalier.
