The village is located at a height of 2,469m and offers high-altitude skiing up to 3,488m. Skiing in Beaver Creek is spread over 4 mountains - Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead and Grouse Peak. There are 148 runs to choose from, with most of its terrain best suited to intermediates, but an excellent range for all levels. Beaver Creeks' easiest runs are at the top, so even first-timers and beginners can enjoy the stunning mountain views, and there are dedicated learning areas. Plenty of fast cruising runs and tree-lined trails offer challenges for more competent skiers, with experts choosing from the more advanced terrain with its steep mogul-studded double-blacks, and trying their luck on the World Cup race course, the famous 'Birds of Prey'.
Beaver Creek Snow Conditions - Impeccable grooming, long season
Beaver Creek enjoys a long winter ski season running from mid-November to mid-April. Known as a reliable snow-sure resort, upper slopes averages for 2007 reached 203cm during the month of April, with even the lower slopes seeing a high average of 170cm. In conjunction with the high level of the service that the resort is known for, the slopes of Beaver Creek are known to be impeccably groomed, with its fleet of snow cats servicing 800 acres of terrain throughout the day. A modern snowmaking service is also in operation here, with 36% of the slopes covered.
