Ski School
Recognised as one of the best ski schools in Eastern Europe, the facility in Bansko offers 100 instructors providing expert tuition in numerous languages, including English. As well as regular skiing lessons, the ski school offers instruction in more other techniques such as snowboarding, off-piste and cross-country skiing.

Child care
Children aged 6 and up can take lessons at the ski school in Bansko, and the resort offers a ski kindergarten for ages 4-7, which includes tuition, equipment hire, lift pass and lunch. The kindergarten can only be booked once in the resort, and is very reasonably-priced. For children aged 2-7, the resort also offers a choice of childcare options, with supervised activities such as plenty of crafts and games, and playing in the snow. Guests can also make use of the various babysitting services offered here.

Ski equipment
There is an abundance of places in which to hire rental equipment, with much of it brand new and many of the staff speaking English. The convenient facility at the gondola offers a discounted lift pass with their equipment rental, but the many smaller shops in town may offer cheaper prices. 

Weather updates
Current conditions can be checked at the gondola via a series of giant screens that give skiers visuals of the slopes at various heights, along with information regarding temperatures, and wind and snow conditions. This convenient information allows skiers to decide for themselves whether or not they want to ski that day. 

Snowboarding
The resort is home to a board park, consisting of a fun park, huge half pipe and the Bansko snow towers. These are unique to the resort, and are hand-made vertical structures that protrude from the snow. Boarders can practice their technique on these, or build their own jumps and kickers.

Medical facilities
Bansko offers a 24-hour Emergency Ski Patrol service in case of accidents, with ambulance service and a staffed clinic where doctors and nurses are available. There is a hospital in town, and several chemists in the resort.

Restaurants
There are 5 on-piste restaurants in Bansko, serving a choice of food and drinks and offering a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the scenic mountain backdrops. In town there are almost 100 restaurants, bars and cafes, with many serving hearty and traditional Bulgarian fare.
