Ski School 

Each resort has its own ski school and can offer professional tuition for all levels of skier and rider, with the entire Banff region being known for its friendly instructors. Choose from beginners' learn-to-ski packages to specialist skill clinics.

Children 

Childcare is also offered in each ski resort. Lake Louise, known for its excellent children’s' facilities, takes infants from as young as 3 weeks, and Norquay and Sunshine Village, 19 months and up. A range of private and group lessons are available for children from 3 years of age. Sunshine Village offers a special Mountain Riders group for teenagers aged 13-17.

 

Dining 

Banff is home to over 100 restaurants spread over the towns and ski areas, catering to all tastes and budgets. Choose from numerous kinds of international cuisine, fast-food and gourmet fare, as well as traditional Western saloons and lodges serving local Canadian specialities.

 

Après-ski 

A total of 80 bars and 10 clubs provide skiers with a range of options when the lifts close. The town of Banff offers the liveliest après-ski entertainment in the region, with everything from English-style pubs and Irish bars, to wine bars and refined hotel lounges.   

 

Shopping 

Banff is lively and bustling, and the ideal spot for shopping, with malls and stores selling everything from skiwear and sports gear to designer clothes, jewellery and books, as well as numerous Canadian and Native American arts and crafts.

 

Town Facilities 

The well-equipped town of Banff is home to a range of services, including banks, a post office, information centre, public library, police station, petrol stations, car rental and launderettes. Also in town is a choice of nine supermarkets. A local bus service runs through the town and connects the ski resorts.  

 

Medical Facilities
Banff has a hospital in case of emergencies, as well as a number of local medical clinics.
