Ski Schools 
The resort has 3 schools offering a range of lessons and courses, with English spoken by many instructors. As well as tuition for downhill skiing and boarding, lessons in techniques such as telemark, carving and freestyle are offered.    
 
Childcare 
Childcare facilities are offered for children aged 3 and up, with lessons available for those 4 and older, both in the morning and afternoon. The resort features a special children’s' zone at the Angertal Ski Centre, and the Felsenbad complex in Bad Gastein has an indoor activity centre with pools, including a Fairytale pool, and a kids area.
 
Shopping 
Mainly upscale and expensive, selling designer clothing and jewellery, as well as skiwear and local crafts and souvenirs.
 
Dining 
The town is known for its high standard of dining, and has 25 restaurants serving a range of options, from traditional Tyrolean to self-service fast food, with 30 mountain huts in the area.
 
Après-Ski 
Bad Gastein is known for its vibrant and sophisticated après-ski scene, with 15 bars and 6 discos to choose from, as well as a casino in town.
 
Town Facilities 
The town has 3 banks with cash points, a post office, internet cafes, car rental and various supermarkets. There are many smart hotels here with plenty of facilities, and shuttle buses and taxis to ferry skiers around.
 
Medical Facilities
Bad Gastein has 5 doctors in town and a pharmacy, with emergency services available.
