Ski School
There are 2 highly-rated ski schools in Lech, with a further 2 in Oberlech and Zurs, all offering private and group lessons in basic skiing, snowboarding, as well as carving and cross-country skiing. Due to the exclusive clientele, private lessons are popular, with many booking the same instructor each year.
Childcare And Families
Lech has a Mini Club for children aged 3 and up, and many of the hotels offer private kindergartens for younger children. The kindergarten includes 2 hours of skiing per day, and basic ski lessons are available for ages 5 and older.
Shopping
The shops line Lechs' main street, and sell products such as skiwear, sporting goods and equipment, as well as designer clothing and Austrian souvenirs such as handicrafts and lederhosen. Shops are quite exclusive and prices are suitably high.
Dining
Over 50 restaurants serve a range of cuisine from traditional Austrian to Chinese and Italian, with many of the best ones located in the hotels, and there are cafes and coffeehouses offering local cakes and pastries. A choice of restaurants offers on-mountain dining.
Après Ski
Nightlife is generally quiet, with 9 bars in the town, including cosy inns and gasthofs and sophisticated hotel bars, as well as 4 nightclubs and a casino.
Town Services
Include a post office, 2 banks with cashpoint machines, 2 supermarkets and a free shuttle bus that runs well into the night.
Medical Facilities
Lech has a medical centre and a chemist in town.
