For relaxation, the resort has Jacuzzis, steam rooms, massage parlours and beauty salons for visitors to use. The Caldea spa in the capital Andorra la Vella is one of the best in Europe, and offers a great day out, with its choice of indoor and outdoor pools, waterfalls, fountains and hydrotherapy. 

Duty-free shopping is a huge draw, with Andorra la Vella, just 15 minutes away, offering scores of bargains, namely electronics, computers, alcohol, tobacco and perfume. Despite its recent and still-ongoing growth, Arinsal retains the look and feel of a typical Catalan village, with a stone church at its centre, and a cosy traditional atmosphere. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty, and ideal for exploring, with plenty of small charming villages, churches and monuments. There's a choice of museums in and around the resort, including the National Motor Museum and a badge museum. Day trips from Arinsal include Barcelona and Toulouse.

 

Dining 

Food in Arinsal ranges from casual buffet food to delicious Andorran cuisine in cosy eateries. Try venturing out from the hotel restaurants and sampling the local fare such as grilled meats, rabbit, trout and cod, and regional dishes such as escudella (meat stew), paella and pa amb tomaquet (toast rubbed with garlic, tomato and olive oil).

Nightlife is generally young and lively, with affordable drinks and plenty of varied entertainment in the bars and pubs, such as karaoke, live bands and pub crawls.
