Ski School 

Tuition is in expert English, with the ski school offering a range of group and private lessons, including an intensive Ski Camp. Children’s' ski lessons are available for ages 3 and up, with snowboarding instruction for those aged 7-15.

 

Children And Families 

One of the best resorts for children and families, Are offers crèches for all ages, with convenient hourly childcare available. A ski kindergarten is offered for ages 3-7, and there are 8 special children’s' ski areas with their own lifts, restaurants and even warming huts. The resort also hosts special 'Family Weeks', when free activities are available throughout the day.

Shopping 

Shopping ranges from skiwear and equipment (with 9 rental shops) to high fashion and local crafts.

 

Dining 

Over 35 restaurants, including 17 up on the mountain, offer a range of food and drink, including fast food, Mexican and pizza, as well as hearty Scandinavian specialities.

 

Après Ski 

Good choice in the bars and pubs both in town and on the mountain. Entertainment in the form of lots of live music, bands and DJ's, and there are 5 night clubs for late-night dancing

As well as the shops, bars and restaurants, Are is home to 2 supermarkets, 2 banks with cash points, a post office, an off-licence and launderette.
