Snow Conditions in Arc 1950 - Above tree-line skiing, glacial slopes
Named for its elevation, Arc 1950 sits at the top of the resort, just below the highest village, Arc 2000. Access to the highest peak - Aiguille Rouge, which reaches 3,226m - is via gondola, and the glacial slopes above the tree-line offer plenty of challenges and exhilarating runs across the mountain face, and back down to the villages below. Arc 1950 is ideally suited to more experienced skiers, although there are excellent nursery slopes here and a good range of easy blue runs. There are also runs for all levels of skier at the lower villages of Arc 1600 and Arc 1800, with plenty of choice for intermediate skiers and numerous tree-lined runs leading down to the villages below. Les Arcs has a total of 106 runs over 200km of terrain and the resort is conveniently linked to La Plagne, with its additional 225km of slopes. Together the two resorts create the vast Paradiski - one of the largest ski areas in the world.
