Snow Conditions in Arc 1800 - High-altitude ski slopes, reliable snowfall
Les Arcs lies in the Tarentaise Valley in the Northern French Alps, just above the town of Bourg St. Maurice. The resort is made up of 3 peaks or 'arcs' and there are 4 self-contained villages throughout the area, with Arc 1800 being the main hub. Being close to Mont Blanc and with a top elevation of 3,226m, the whole of Les Arcs is snow-sure and reliable, receiving 300cm of snowfall each year.
Arc 1800 Snow Conditions - One of main ski areas in resort, great for all levels
Arc 1800 is named for its altitude, and is located in the middle of the resort. The village is home to one of the resort's main ski areas, and offers an excellent choice of runs for all levels of skier and boarder. Arc 1800 is especially good for beginners, having wide nursery slopes that get plenty of sun, and a good selection of gentle blue runs upon which to practice. Intermediates have a great choice of runs above Arc 1800 to suit them, and many long cruising blues and reds running down through the trees. More confident and advanced skiers can head to the high-altitude glacial slopes from Arcs 1950 and Arcs 2000 for more challenging blacks and some spectacular off-piste, and experience Europe's biggest vertical of 2,000m. The resort of Les Arcs has 106 runs over 200km of terrain, but for even more choice, skiers can explore the Paradiski area by taking the Vanoise Express gondola to La Plagne.
Snow conditions in Arc 1800 - Long ski season, boosted by snowmaking
