Arc 1600 Resort Facilites

The ESF ski school at Arc 1600 is large, with 250 instructors, and offers group and private lessons, as well as a range of different programmes such as telemark skiing and night-skiing.

 

Arc 1600 is a popular base for families as it takes babies from as young as 4 months at The Children's Club nursery, and offers a Mini-Club for ages 4-6, and a Kid's Club for those 7-12.

 

The resort has 14 shops, including 8 ski and sports shops selling ski wear, with others selling gifts, clothing and regional foods, and has a photographers and 2 supermarkets.

 

There are 8 restaurants in Arc 1600 mainly serving local Savoyard specialities and traditional French fare.

 

Après-ski is fairly quiet compared to Arc 1800, but the village has 8 bars and a club, and offers live music and pool tables.

 

The resort has a pedestrian centre and facilities including a bank, post office, tourist office, beauty salon, an amphitheatre for conferences, internet cafes, launderette and police station. Arc 1600 is connected to Bourg St. Maurice by funicular railway, and the higher villages can be reached by lifts and shuttle bus.
