Snow Conditions in Arabba - Ideally located on the Sella Ronda
Arabba lies at the head of the Livinallongo Valley in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, between the more familiar resorts of Canazei and Corvara. It has excellent links to the famed Sella Ronda ski circuit and sits at the foot of the Marmolada Glacier, which is the highest peak in the mountain range at 3,342m. The resort itself is at an altitude of 1602m, and is one of the highest resorts in the region, boasting skiing up to 2959m. Arabba is generally considered the best resort in the Sella Ronda for serious skiers and riders.
 
Arabba Snow Conditions - Most reliable snow record in Dolomites
With plenty of high-altitude north-facing slopes, the snow record of Arabba is consistently good - one of the best in the entire Dolomites, with its extremely reliable conditions. As well as the excellent natural snow the resort receives, Arabba is also supplemented by snowmaking facilities on 90% of its slopes, and maintains well-groomed pistes. A haven for expert skiers, thanks to its steep challenging terrain, some of the black runs retain fantastic conditions after a deep snowfall, with amazing off-piste conditions on the upper slopes. Arabba is a also popular resort with heli-skiers, due to its fantastic off-piste conditions.   
 
Snow Conditions in Arabba - High-altitude, north-facing slopes
The ski season in Arabba begins in December and runs till March. In December and January the resort sees around 4 or 5 hours of sunshine each day, with the abundance of high-altitude north-facing slopes helping to maintain a consistent snowbase. In the last couple of years the upper slope averages have reached a maximum of 137cm, with previous seasons seeing numbers around 250-260cm.
