Arabba Skiing Holidays
Arabba, located in the Livinallongo Valley within the Italian Dolomites, is a traditional hillside resort, ideally situated for some of the bestskiing in Italy. This quiet and peaceful mountain town, in the heart of the Superski Dolomiti region with its’ staggering amount of over 1,000km of terrain, attracts serious skiers and boarders due to its’ extensive challenging skiing and links to neighbouring resorts. The scenery around Arabba is simply stunning, with the resort surrounded by some spectacular mountains, including the Dolomites with their unique pink glow and jagged spires.

Skiing in Arabba – The Mountains
Arabba, at 1,600m one of the highest resorts in the area, offers 50km of terrain throughout its’ north-facing slopes, with some of the best natural snow conditions in the Dolomites. There are 50 slopes served by 28 modern lifts, and the resort is home to some challenging red and black trails. Beginners in Arabba have some village-level nursery slopes, and wonderful scenery to enjoy whilst learning, but it is more experienced skiers who will get the most from the resort. Arabba is one of the resorts on the Sella Ronda ski circus, the largest connected ski area in the Dolomites, linking to Canazei in the Val di Fasse to the west and Corvora in Alta Badia to the east, and offers an exhilarating 40km round trip, skiable in either direction. Arabba also has links to the massive Marmolada Glacier, known as the Queen of the Dolomites, with its’ high altitude slopes of up to 3,300m covering 15km of terrain, and generally less crowded pistes. The links to Canazei, Corvora and Selva give access to a huge amount of exciting terrain, with some long cruising trails and some steep blacks, including some World Cup runs to try in the neighbouring resorts. Arabba boasts some impressive facilities, including modern grooming machines and efficient snow-making equipment, which manage to cover over 80% of the slopes. For the truly adventurous, heli-skiing is available in Arabba.

Skiing in Arabba – The Village
Arabba is a traditional mountain town, built in the Tyrolean style, offering a suitable base for families and those looking for a relaxing ski holiday. There is a good choice of hotels, apartments and pensions in the compact village, and a selection of restaurants, cafes and pizzerias. Arabbas’ après-ski scene is low-key and relaxed, with 20 bars in the resort, and live music played regularly. Other activities to try whilst skiing in Arabba include ice-skating on the natural rink, swimming and hiking through the beautiful walking trails. There are some interesting day trips to take, including the World War I museum on the Marmolada Glacier and the ruins of Andrez Castle.
