Ski School
Ski holidays in Alpe d'Huez will find has 3 ski schools - ESF, Ecole de Ski Internationale and the British Ski School. All offer small class sizes and a range of English-speaking instructors providing tuition in basic skills, as well as techniques such as cross-country and freestyle. Guiding is widely available.

The après ski scene is vibrant and lively, with 32 bars offering a range of entertainment, including happy hours and live music, with many showing live sporting events. A choice of 4 night clubs stay open late into the night.

With 45 restaurants, including 12 located up on the mountain, there's plenty of choice in the resort, with fast food and international dining on offer, as well as creperies, pizzerias and cafes offering local French fare.
Shopping
Over 300 shops serve the resort, selling everything from sporting goods and ski wear to jewellery, home goods and souvenirs. Choices of 7 supermarkets offer options for self-caterers, and there is a good choice of local shops including bakeries, butchers and delicatessens.
