With its rural farming background still very much in evidence, the village of Alpbach boasts a quiet charm, and is a delight to discover. There is plenty of well-preserved historic architecture in town, and village life still focused around the 15th century church. The surrounding area is picturesque and full of sights such as medieval towns, castles and churches. There is a farm museum in town, glass and crystal factories in the area and the city of Innsbruck lies less than an hour away.
