Ski School
There are 4 ski schools in the area, offering lessons in English in all levels of expertise, from first-time packages to advanced techniques.
Childcare
Alpbach has a kid’s centre which is home to a non-skiing kindergarten for children aged 2-4, and babysitting can also be arranged. Ski lessons are offered for children aged 3 and up.
Shopping
There is a limited range of shops selling skiwear, sporting goods and souvenirs, as well as local produce in the towns' bakery, butchers and confectioners.
Dining
Choices of 12 restaurants in the resort include traditional mountain eateries on the slopes and mainly hotel-based restaurants in town. Food on offer is generally authentic Austrian and hearty Tyrolean fare.
Après Ski
The après ski scene is cosy and traditional, focusing on 5 bars in town, with a casual informal atmosphere. Bars are busy at the end of the day, but close around 11pm.

Alpbach has 4 banks, 2 cash points, a post office, 2 supermarkets, an internet cafe and launderette.
Medical Facilities
The town has a doctor’s surgery and a chemist, and there are 3 hospitals in the surrounding area.
